GG20B Rosters

So what have I been doing with my time? Here's a great way to find out. All of the recent changes, updates, modifications and additions are logged here. Thanks for looking, and taking the time to delve this far into the site.

Date: Work Performed:
April 29, 2011

As usual I'm way behind in my updates, but I've sprinkled a number of small updates throughout. Perhaps most important is the addition of new photos and info on Progress Rail's sale of PR30C demonstrator PRLX 3006 to Pacific Harbor Line as their PHL 40. Also, I've added photos of USAX 6509 at Fort Sill, OK to the US Army page. And as always, there's plenty more to come.

Feb. 16, 2011

Added some great photos of OPT 2224 on the Sabine River & Northern to the Orange Port Terminal's owner's page.

Dec. 3, 2010

Updated the NRE builder's page, and added a number of photos for updates that are coming in the next few days as I dig out from underneath the backlog of work to do.

Aug. 9, 2010

Added details and a few photos of Archer Daniels Midland's new MP14B gensets, ADMX 1401-1403, to the MotivePower miscellaneous page. Also, I have updated the Railpower Owner's page to reflect the recently anounced order for Modesto & Empire Traction.

July 14, 2010

Another Genesee and Wyoming property has stepped into the genset fray. Reports are that Ohio Central is converting SW1200 OHCR 922 into a BL14CG (GS1400) twin-engine genset in its West Lafayette, OH shops using a kit provided by Brookville. As such, I have moved the Buffalo & Pittsburgh 1400-1401 from the Brookville Misc. Owners' page and created a separate owner's page for Genesee and Wyoming, parent company of BPRR and OHCR. As well, the Brookville builder's page has been updated to include the new OHCR unit. Also, the Amtrak owner's page has been updated to reflect the pending upgrade of two more F59PHi locomotives with EMD 710ECO engines. CDTX 2012 and 2013 are headed to EMD London for conversion now.

July 13, 2010

Corrected the information on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh's kit-built Brookville BL14CG gensets to reflect correct unit number for the second genset as BPRR 1400, not 1402. Updates reflected on the Brookville Misc. Owners' page, and the Brookville builder's page.

July 10, 2010

Buffalo & Pittsburgh's first kit-built Brookville BL14CG genset has been spotted in Butler, PA. I've added photos courtesy of Barry Householder to the Brookville Misc. Owners' page, and updated the page to reflect the apparent core unit identity of the first unit, BPRR 1401.

July 1, 2010

I've added photos of KCSM 2404 and 403 to the KCSM Owner's Page, and photos of the nearly completed Union Pacific SD59M-2's to the UP Owner's Page 1. Also, I've added a photo of OPT 2224 in its Sabine River and Northern paint to the Orange Port Terminal's owner's page, and a photo of GMTX 7000, the first MP14B produced by MPI, to the Miscellaneous MPI page. And finally, I've added several new locomotives, including the first of several MP14B gensets being built for Archer Daniels Midland to the Miscellaneous MPI page, and new DGNO 3GS21C's 2000-2002 and 3GS21B CFNR 500 to Rail America's owner's page.

June 30, 2010

A number of updates are coming in the next 48 hours as I try to get caught up. First up is the inclusion of two new gensets for Amtrak from MotivePower. They are AMTK 590, an MP14B, and AMTK 591, an MP21B. Info and photos have been added to the Amtrak owner's page, MotivePower builder's page, and the All Owners and All Builders pages have been updated as well. Keep checking back as more will be added over the next few days!

Mar. 29, 2010

Brandt Road Rail's prototype is presently undergoing extended testing on the Central Manitoba Railway in Winnipeg, MB. The unit is probably going to be formally presented to the public in September or October of this year. In the mean time, I've added another photo of the unit, along with its new number - BRTX 2009 - to the Brandt builder's page. Also, the two NITX RP20BDs that were being held at TMS and had become property of Norfolk Southern will be added to the NS roster as their 102 and 103. They will not be going to Virginia Int'l Terminal as previously reported. Also, Railpower has received an order from the Port of Montreal for one RP20BD, with an option for up to four additional units over the next few years. That unit has been added to the Railpower builder's page. And finally, the All Builders and All Owners pages have been updated to reflect these changes.

Mar. 21, 2010

I've added data for new 2GS14B's for Gulf Coast Rail Services' Orange Port Terminal (OPT) 2220 and 2221 to the OPT page. Also, I've updated the MotivePower Misc. page to include new GATX Locomotive Group MP14B GMTX 7000. This is the first twin engine genet built by MPI.
